Israel Trip (2009)
Visiting the Garden tomb was one of the most moving parts of our trip.
Although this site is considered controversial, some saying that this is not the tomb where Jesus was laid. However a careful reading of the scriptures describing the events at the end of Jesus' life reveal that this one location has all the elements to convince the student of scripture that this very spot is the true place where the most incredible event in the history of mankind occurred. The resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead.
May you enjoy our walk thru the Garden Tomb.

The garden has a water source. A huge cistern that could hold many thousands of gallons of water.

Hard to see but there is an ancient Christian symbol carved into the rock. A cross with a "J" on the base.

The place where Jesus was laid. Custom has it the place of the feet was cut at the time the body was placed in tomb.

An interesting sign just by the tomb.

Further evidence showing this was a vineyard.

Many tears of joy are shed at communion as we remember what Jesus has done on our behalf.
